At Flamingay, every item is made to order just for you. Because of this, our refunds and returns policy is a little different from traditional retail — and we want to be upfront about that from the start.

Made-to-Order & Print-on-Demand Items

All Flamingay products are print on demand, meaning:

  • Items are not held in stock

  • Each product is custom manufactured after you place your order

  • Orders are sent directly from our manufacturing partners

  • Once production begins, no changes or cancellations can be made

Please double-check sizing, colour, and product details carefully before placing your order.

Change of Mind Returns

Because our products are made to order:

  • ❌ We do not accept returns or refunds for change of mind

  • ❌ We do not offer exchanges for incorrect size, colour choice, or preference

This includes situations where:

  • The item doesn’t fit as expected

  • You ordered the wrong size or colour

  • You no longer want the item after purchase

This is permitted under Australian Consumer Law for custom-made goods.

Custom & Personalised Products (Including Photo Uploads)

Custom products — including those made using customer-supplied photos, names, or personalised elements — are final sale.

  • No refunds

  • No returns

  • No exchanges

Once created, these items cannot be resold or reused, and therefore cannot be refunded unless they are faulty.

Please ensure:

  • Uploaded photos are high quality

  • Cropping and previews are checked carefully

  • All personalisation details are correct before ordering

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

We absolutely stand by the quality of our products.

Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a remedy if an item is:

  • Faulty

  • Damaged

  • Not as described

  • Incorrectly supplied

Our Remedy Process

  1. Replacement first – this is our preferred option

  2. Refund – if a replacement is not possible

How to Report an Issue

If there is a problem with your order, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and include:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photos showing the issue

  • A brief description of the problem

What Is Considered a Fault?

✔ Printing errors

✔ Manufacturing defects

✔ Incorrect item sent

✔ Damage during shipping

What Is Not Considered a Fault?

✖ Slight colour variations (screen vs print)

✖ Minor placement differences due to manufacturing

✖ Fit or sizing issues

✖ Customer errors in ordering or personalisation

Refund Method & Timing

  • Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method

  • Refunds are issued after assessment

  • Processing time may vary depending on your payment provider

Shipping Costs

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable

  • We cover shipping for approved faulty item replacements

  • Return shipping is not required unless specifically requested

Australian Consumer Law Statement

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

Flamingay is built on intentional, made-to-order fashion. That’s better for the planet — but it also means:

  • No mass returns

  • No resale of custom items

  • No last-minute changes
